As a beautician, you need a website that is attractive and informative. What a person sees online will have a direct impact on whether or not they contact you for an appointment. From the first picture to the Call to Action, you must pull the viewer in and provide them with a glimpse of what they can expect if they choose you as their stylist.
Choose a Design
Choose a design that represents you. It should have pictures of hair styles you are proficient with as well as content that reflects your personality, and your professionalism. Include a slide show or video of yourself or your stylists. Make it colorful and vibrant. Choose a format that is mobile friendly and is easily adaptable to cell phones or tablets. The design you choose will ultimately be the foundation, so it needs to be strong, but easy to use and navigate.
Make It Your Own
Your website is a reflection of you, so include things that show off your particular talent and flair. If you can write your own content, or if you prefer to have someone else create the content for you, give them a few notes that reflect your personality and creativity. The content should accurately represent your character and persona. Make sure your business logo is easy to see and stands out against the background. Include music (optional) and a blog, so that you can provide helpful tips to your clients. Give your future clients a glimpse of who you are and what you love to do.
Launch your website online. The most effective benefit of a website is the “Call to Action” section. It gives the viewer everything they need to act on what they have been reading. Include a Call to Action button or link for them to click on, that shall take them to a page where they can directly email or contact you. Update your website often to make sure it has the most current information when it comes to your location, your hours of operation and any new stylists that you hire.
Remember, projecting a stylish image is very vital for your business, and that impression can only be achieved by a website, which is attractive and informative.
